“Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!” - Unknown

Great quote by unknown..it sounds like something a great uncle may say whilst leaning on a bar with his fifth whisky in his hand…in a slightly slurry voice (not that i have an unce like that)

I love the image …it reminds of a dog chewed red thong that I used to see in different parts the park for many months it seemed to follow me around I bgean to look for it and when it disappeared I missed it. Thongs are very resilient. That shoe looks a bit dog chewed.

Ha Ha. it does seem to encourage you to trash yourself.
Live life. love your wrinkles. Appreciate that when you get old it is OK to push into the head of the queue in woollies.
These shoes are just everywhere in tibet and Nepal, places where people literally walk until there shoes will take them no longer. I am yet to see someone who has simply had it with there shoes and ha dumped them and is now bearefoot, but I guess it happens. On kailash, people take old clothese which represent and old self and offer them up to the mountains ( a particularly handy offering as if you happen to be lost on a mountain and come across these offerings you may just need the warmth). thogs are resilient. My neighbour has done a whole photo exhibition on thongs that wash up on th beach here in HK from Mainland China.

wow that was an amazing quote!! it reminds everyone to live each day to the fullest, because once your times up there is no way to live that life again; rather you turn to the memories and experiences that you have gained and that essentailly will last a life time. amazing

Everytime I read these quotes, it just makes me happy but i never comment on your photos. But will log in regularly and start commenting because i think these quotes tell the truth about life in general but most people don’t realize it until it’s too late, thanks for the webpage and making everybody’s day just that much better.
