are these called something like seremet in tibetan? are these the ones that you eat the outer coating off? or semet I think they said

Thanks Marie Yep this is a Wendell Berry. Was that not clear? I am in Beijing and cant actually see the site uploading as I have set this week for auto upload in light of Chinese restrictions on viewing wordpress blogs. Is there irony in the term pick berries do you think?

lovely photograph…the light makes those berries glow…just think since you photographed them Bruce a couple are probably small trees now.
