I ike the image …you just know that the monk on the right is very earnest and has a strong point of view, to me his hand says it all and the monk on the left is trying to answer but won’t be able to get a word in. My money is on the Right Monk.

Hi marie. i am sure I didn’t just take one picture there, so if I go and revisit the roll of slide we may be able to see the other monk leap to his feet, and with a big cracking clap, admonish the monk for his low level of perceptiveness. There was a lot of hand slapping going on when the monks thought they had won an indisputable point. Not sure if this still goes on , but it was a wonderful thing to watch on a thursday afternoon in Lhasa.

    Hi Dave
So glad you have been enjoying the pictures and quotes , and now have made it onto the comments page. Thanks.
It always makes my day getting a new comment.
I am Oz bound in two weeks time- so busy scanning enough photos for this project to hold me over till I am back in Hong KOng in March. Looking forward to seeing you at Kombie party 2010.
The snow effect is from word press – a little christmas snow, but worked well with yesterdays quote.
