“try the straight path and you will get to the end quicker” ……’ a curl turns back on itself” ….’a right angled triangle meets at all points just the same as an isoceles” ..( anyone into paths and geometry)
…’the moving finger writes and having writ moves on ” ( Omar Khayam)
The path may meander but the elderly couple look like they are going about their business with a purpose..because you take a meandering path it doesn’t mean you are meandering yourself..on the other hand I wish them many long years in which to meander and saunter.
Actually they are on a kora of the monastery, a circuit path, so even the path is a little prescribed. But when has reality ever had anything to do with a quote or maxim anyway. as jac says, the opposite is usually as true.
Picky is good. Your feedback is like editors notes for me , and even if I dont change the quote immediately, it is registered, to be assessed before publishing the final version.
