January 22nd

"It's a question of discipline," the little prince told me later on. "When you've finished washing and dressing each morning, you must tend your planet." - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince, 1943.

      Thanks. he has been cropped to fit this format. He is also available with hands and more of his coat in portrait format. Maybe he will become a poster boy for Poetic universe when i get my poster link set up.

    I just bought a copy of the Little Prince .
    The young boy looks happy and eager.
    The Planet needs him.

      Thanks Lisa. this is one of my very favourite pictures too, taken on my first trip through the Kangba Plataeu in 2001. He would be a slightly older prince now.

    every once and a while it pays to look at life through the eyes of a child;

    I ❤ the little prince! as a native woman, i agree whole-heartedly with this quote. we are not inheriting the earth from our ancestors so much as borrowing it from our children, and it is our obligation to care for it, in the name of the Seventh Generation. (The fact that 22JAN is also my birthday was just a plus!!!)

  6. Poetic Universe Says:

    Hi there TSFC
    Thanks for your comments. i am glad you scored the jackpot quote on your birthday.

    Just googled the 7th generation – ” “In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the seventh generation… even if it requires having skin as thick as the bark of a pine.” “What about the seventh generation? Where are you taking them? What will they have?” – Mandate of traditional Haudenosaunee Iroquois chiefs.
    Love it. And enjoyed your myspace and blog as well.
