      You are a funny man. I laughed and laughed when I read this comment. Look at the shadows it casts on his eyes. It must actually be very effective against the sun in an era when there were no servoes selling five dollar sunnies. He was on a horse at a horse festival , just for context. Handy for flys too I imagine, when you are sitting on a horseback travelling past yak dung mounds . And just the thing to soften the light, and add a bit of shaboom to the gaol-cell look-a-like pilgrim hotels in the more remote regions of Tibet.

    there is also symbolic meaning everything has symbolic meaning form the clockwise turning of tsampa in your bowl..the design and colour…every little epiphet and decoration has symbolic meaning apart from it’s own meaning
