"No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other." - Frank Lloyd Wright

I do like this comment from Frank Lloyd Wright and also that you have branched out into noted architects, he’s the one who built houses around trees rather than pulling them out isn’t he, I wonder if Glen Murcott ( spelling?) has any quotes , Le Corbusier might have some interesting ones as well, and the guy who makes houses out of garbage, the garbage ‘garbage warrior’…

Beautiful colours…those houses look like sheep grazing…that must be a fair distance between them…unlike our terraces.

Thanks. The quote contains 3 shoulds which would normally have this quotes bags packed and out of my internet sphere faster than you can say unsolicited advice, but being a genius like FLW I think does give you the right to use S word.

Architects are generally unhappy people I was told at dinner last night. Up there with comedians and dentists for depression. Do you think East sydney ever looked like this Marie? John Birmingham in Leviathan describes the bald scarred landscape to the East of the Tank Stream as the non-convict settlers tried to expunge the bush. I don’t think FLW would have approved, but it has evolved into a very beautiful place, and those terrace houses are very special.
